Construction Site Safety Manager

Pay Rate: $50.00-$60.00/hour + overtime

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Safety Manager to support a project site in Reno, NV. You'll drive compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements, lead site-level safety initiatives, and help strengthen a proactive safety culture across the jobsite.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the Safety Director with oversight and implementation of site safety processes.
· Respond to injuries and incidents; oversee appropriate injury management and incident investigation/communication for the jobsite.
· Develop, implement, and manage safety programs in alignment with established safety policies.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws.
· Provide oversight and management for service HSE activities.
· Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to field personnel; offer technical guidance for proper administration of HSE and Injury/Illness Prevention Programs.
· Partner with site leadership to develop and maintain a strong safety culture.
· Coordinate with the customer and site general contractor to ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
· Deliver site-level safety training as needed.
· Perform frequent safety inspections and audits.
· Conduct incident investigations, complete reports, and help develop corrective actions.
· Drive continuous improvement and cultural change to improve safety performance.
· Schedule, facilitate, and track safety training to ensure regulatory compliance.
· Represent the organization on environmental protection concerns and interface with regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications
· CHST (BCSP) certification required.
· OSHA 510 required.
· Relevant scope and team management experience.
· First Aid, Narcan, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, and AED training.
· Emergency procedures training.
· NFPA 70E and LOTO competency and experience.
· Mental Health First Aid training.
· Must obtain OSHA 10-hour training within 30 days of starting work at the project site.
· 5+ years of construction or maintenance experience in safety or operations.
· Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory compliance requirements.
· Strong communication skills for effective interaction with personnel and agencies.
· Ability to design and deliver training and safety presentations.
· Valid driver's license that meets project/site requirements.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 1st shift (nights/weekends as required).
Additional Information
This is a temporary/contract position with travel to local sites as needed.
Must be able to work nights/weekends as required by the project.
